FOOD AND FUN !

There are several very good restaurants in Penarth, where meals are reasonably priced, and you will be pleased at the quality and range of meals on offer. In the Windsor Arcade there are modestly priced coffee shops/restaurants, open during shop hours.

In the evening, restaurants on the Esplanade, in Windsor Terrace and the Station Approach, offer a wide variety of local and ethnic dishes, whilst the recently opened "El Puerto", at Penarth's 450 berth Yacht Marina, offers a different style of eating out. An excellent choice of Welsh, Italian, English, Spanish, Asian, Chinese and Turkish dishes, amongst others, are on the menu, so you are certain to find something to your liking.

A number of friendly "pubs" abound in the area, and local and national brews are available at prices lower than those in most big cities.

There are also several "Members-Only" private clubs based in Penarth, including social, political, British Legion, tennis and golf clubs.

Some welcome temporary visitors in return for a small entrance fee.

CARDIFF has a huge number of clubs, night clubs and licensed restaurants, far too many to list. Throughout the City Centre, and in Cardiff's Maritime Quarter at Mermaid Quay, dozens of places serve the needs of visitors to the city.

And later in the evening, after your night out, a taxi back to your chosen accomodation will typically cost you little more than £8 - £10.
