CARDIFF is a fine city
with a population of around 300,000, which grows by
100,000 on "Big Event" occasions, when our visitors
arrive to watch their favourite team, or hear fine
music. It is a good idea to
book your accomodation well in advance, as you may find
otherwise that you have to travel long distances to get
alternative rooms, which could be up to 50 miles away.
All the accomodation listed
below is close, (within 30 minutes), of Cardiff City
Centre, where most of the "Big Events" take place, at
the Millenium Stadium (Rugby, Football, Speedway &
Concerts), Sophia Gardens (Cricket), Wales Millenium
Centre (Opera and Performing Arts), CIA (Exhibitions &
Concerts) or St. David's Hall (Musical Occasions, Choirs
and Conferences).
CARDIFF has excellent
Rail, Bus and Coach links, and a first class
International Airport, just 30 minutes away. Visit our
Travel page
for further details on how to get here easily, and at a
reasonable cost.
